Back to Nunavut, I go!

Hi NEP friends!

I have some incredible news to share with you! Today I was offered a job delivering health outreach programming to students throughout Nunavut and northern Canada with Actua. I am so excited! I will be spending at least 9 weeks in Nunavut this summer.

I hope you're all doing well! And remember to send those emails and letters to politicians about how much PEARL means to you...and the rest of Canada!

PEARL needs you!

Hello everyone!

Long time and no communication so I don't know if this will makes it way to any of you NEP participants. I hope it does and I hope that it finds you all well.

You may have heard that CANDAC and therefore PEARL is out of funding. This unhappy situation has come about simply because there are no programs for us to apply to, for funding. Atmospheric research across Canada is affected, but in particular PEARL is because it is a (for Canada) large effort. However, in the large scheme of things it is really quite cost effective and not a lot of money.

So, we need to rally the troops! I'd like to think that CANDAC and PEARL had a postive impact on you and I hope that you will be willing to help us out now by making your experiences known once again, by contacting your MPs and other interested parties, and by visiting the SavePEARL page on facebook.
